Mr. Nicholas Katsepontes has over 20 years of legal and business experience providing counsel to small and medium size businesses in the areas of construction, shipping, biotechnology, and software development. He has assisted companies in the early growth stages with intellectual property strengths and has lead or advised the companies to major investment rounds or public offerings.

Nicholas started his legal career in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1988 where he practiced shipping, marine, and corporate law for an established law firm. He moved to Ottawa in 1992 to serve as a Special Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade providing strategic and legal advice on Canada’s maritime and fisheries law. He subsequently worked in the area of international trade, specifically Canada’s compliance obligations under the World Trade Organization.

In addition, he worked on Canada’s emerging international position on internet and e-commerce policy. He was awarded a commendation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1994 for his outstanding contribution to the Department for his work in developing a legal strategy in Canada’s Foreign Overfishing Campaign targeting foreign vessels that were violating fishing quotas in the Northeastern Atlantic. He left the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 1996 to return to private practice. Nicholas is currently Vice-President Investment Banking and General Counsel James Edward Capital Corporation, an Ottawa based investment bank. As well he serves as Vice-President Corporate Affairs and Legal Counsel for JSS Medical Research Inc. a Montreal based clinical research organization. He is the founder of Katsepontes Law Firm, an Ottawa-based law firm providing corporate commercial counsel to small and emerging technology and light industrial companies in the areas of corporate structure, governance practices, corporate management, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Dalhousie University, undertook graduate studies in international economics, holds a Bachelor of Law and Master of Law (shipping and trade law) degrees from Dalhousie Law School, and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society as well as the Law Society of Upper Canada.




Ms. Wanda Cuff Young is a Newfoundland native born and current living in Conception Bay South. Ms. Cuff Young is an independent consultant with a focus on start ups as well as marketing and communications planning and has worked in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador for the past 25 years.

Ms Cuff Young as just completed an enhanced social media marketing program at Memorial University of Newfoundland and will be a resource to the Company for its media relations and future marketing and communication needs as well as investor relations.




Dr. Wang, graduated from the Department of Biology, Memorial University of Newfoundland. His research interests include different areas of nutraceuticals and functional foods and particularly work on specialty and structured lipids, lipid oxidation, food phenolics and natural antioxidants, among others. Dr. Wang is the reviewer of the Journal of Functional Foods, and the member of the American Oil Chemists’ Society, the American Chemical Society, the Institute of Food Technologists, and the International Society for Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods.

Dr. Wang joined Semintha Nutraceuticals Ltd. in August, 2012, and his major roles include overseeing and advising the Executive and the Board on the science and research required by the company. In addition, he assists in preparing and managing provincial and federal funding applications, coordinating laboratory tests and clinical studies for the products, and assisting in development of new products derived from birch tree by-products.
